The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) may revoke the pilot's license of a 65-year-old navy veteran who landed his plane on the Marriott Lincolnshire Golf Course in Illinois on Saturday. FAA spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory said an investigation into Robert Kadera's weekend stunt is ongoing. Civil penalties for landing an aircraft without clearance could result in revoking the pilot's certification.

A $640 million Navy aircraft carrier that had just undergone a $216 million refitting job had to return to port just two days into its mission after its refrigerator broke down. Now it needs another $20,000 to have its fridge fixed. According to reports, the HMS Illustrious, equipped with hi-tech weaponry, was headed for the Indian Ocean with its nearly 1,000 crew when staff discovered problems with its fridge forcing the ship to head back to Portsmouth dockyard.

A U. S. Navy crew came to the aid of a teenage girl suffering from a ruptured appendix while at sea aboard a cruise ship over the weekend. The girl was lifted onto a helicopter and transported the nearest hospital facility. . . a nuclear aircraft carrier. The girl, 14-year old Laura Montero, became ill Friday while aboard the Dawn Princess, a cruise ship located off the coast of Baja, California. The ship sent out a distress call, which was received by the USS Ronald Reagan, 500 miles away.

Six-year-old Justin Daniel Junio successfully swam across a six mile channel in the southern Philippines. After three hours and forty six minutes of swimming in Hilutungan Channel, Cebu's boy swimmer reached Malibago, Lapu-Lapu City safe and sound. Justin was accompanied by his trainer in the water while his father Jose watched him from a navy boat that has been trailing him from the beginning of the swim at the Hilutungan Island.

A senior citizen British couple have the time of their lives every now and then when they check-in at the same Travelodge budget roadside motel for more than 20 years. They say their love for each other never ceases through the years. The couple, David Davidson, 79-year-old, and his wife, Jean, 70-year-old, started to get hooked at the motel when they visited a sick aunt in 1985 and since then, have regularly visited Travelodge.
