Britain's Duchess of Cornwall has been blamed for "cursing" a luxury cruise liner. Cunard's Ł300 million MS Queen Victoria - which was officially launched by Camilla in Southampton three weeks ago when she failed to successfully smash the champagne bottle on its side - has been struck by a potentially fatal stomach bug.

Three thieves were arrested for stealing $1 million worth of bronze art and selling the raw materials to a junk shop for a measly $4,000. The owner of a Hinesburg scrap metal yard called authorities after seeing a newspaper report about the thefts with a photo of one of the sculptures.

Egypt's parliament is set to pass a law that requires payment of royalties for exact replicas of its ancient pyramids in every country. The proposed law announced by Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) on Tuesday also prohibits the duplication of the Egyptian monuments, including the Sphinx. Drawings and other reproductions of pharaonic and Egyptian monuments from all eras are exempted from the law if they are not exact copies.

An elderly woman was surprised to find her own obituary in a Bangor, Maine newspaper Sunday. The mistake was the result of a mix-up in the paperwork of a funeral home. Anne E. Hathaway, 92, said that she was surprised to find her name in the obituaries of the Bangor Daily News. She said that the information stated in the entry was accurate, except for the slight error that she was still in fact very much alive.

The first South Korean who will fly to space next year will take and eat kimchi. Goh San, 31, made the spicy revelation during an interview in Moscow with local newspaper Dong-A Ilbo on Monday. Goh said he and two Russian cosmonauts will have sterilized and irradiated version of the traditional Korean fermented vegetable dish aboard their spaceship.
