Officers had to tackle a man to the ground over a greasy hamburger from McDonalds.

Thomas Lee Reagan, 45, ordered double cheeseburgers from a McDonald's in Hudson. He complained that the burger was too greasy and demanded a refund.

The refund of $2.16 was provided but Reagan started yelling obscenities, according to the police report. He continued until several families with young children had to leave.

Hudson Police Department Sgt. Donna Briggs said, "Apparently Mr. Reagan was served a hamburger that was not up to his standards. After he complained to the manager regarding the quality of the food, (the restaurant) refunded his money and, apparently, he wasn't happy with that."

Reagan was yelling at the store manager but eventually he began forcing his way into the kitchen to yell at the cooks as well.

Briggs said, "After initially confronting the store manager, (Reagan) went behind the counter apparently to engage the cook in some verbal confrontation."

Police officers said Briggs was intoxicated when they arrived at the McDonalds. They asked him to leave but he refused. When they tried to escort him out, Reagan got physical.

Reagan punched one of the police officers, who then wrestled him to the ground. The other officers used a taser gun to get Reagan under control.

Capt. Don Breault of the Hudson Police Department said, "He became belligerent; threw his food on the ground. The officers wound up charging him with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, at which time, he got in a fight with the officers; threw a punch at one of the officers. They went to the ground, and a second officer at the scene actually used a Taser (gun) on (Reagan)."

Reagan was released on $1,000 bond after being charged with three counts of simple assault and criminal trespassing.
