An 18-year-old man is accused of plotting his mother's death with three others so he could have access to her money to buy his girlfriend breast implants. According to the Denver Channel, Nikita Weis hired two young men for a total of $7,000 to kill his mother and dispose of her body. However, when the victim, Hyun Weis, was attacked Thursday in her home with a small souvenir baseball bat, she was able to escape after using the panic button on her key chain to set off her car alarm, causing the assailant to flee.

A 54-year-old man was arrested under domestic violence statues for hitting his wife with an onion. James Izzolena, of Des Moines was drunk when he became upset with his wife, Nicole Izzolena, 27. In a fit of anger, Izzolena said he threw an onion at her head during an argument on Wednesday. Izzolena, who is charged with domestic assault causing injury, said he didn't mean to hit her. Now branded a domesic violence offender, Izzolena will never be allowed to carry a firearm.

A 13-year-old teenager has reportedly discovered a 2. 93-carat diamond at the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro. Nicole Ruhter's diamond is a tea-colored broken pyramid shaped with several imperfections, but the to-be-eighth grader is happy to have found one. "I was kind of praying to God. I was saying, 'I don't care if it's worth whatever it's worth, I don't care if it's a tiny little sliver of something, I just want something,'" she told the AP of her find. "Ten minutes later, I just found it. "
