According to Amsterdam police on Monday, two Dutch nuns chased a suspected thief through Amsterdam on bikes.
Amsterdam police spokesman Rob van der Veen stated that one of the nuns believed that a man walking by their chapel on Saturday evening was a thief who snatched hundreds of dollars in cash from the building two weeks earlier.
She invited the man inside for a drink, while asking a fellow nun to call the police.
Apparently suspecting what was going on, the man fled the building and snatched a bicycle from a passer-by.
Van der Veen said, "The nuns then grabbed their bikes and gave chase. They tried to grab him, but he managed to escape into a residential neighborhood and they lost him."
Police hunted for the man in the neighborhood, but they had no luck either.
