A former nurse celebrated her silver wedding anniversary for the second time. According to reports, Eileen George first wed in 1952 with husband Patrick. They celebrated their wedding anniversary 25 years later before he died in 1977.
Since then, Eileen raised her four children alone in Edmonton, North London, England.
In 1981, Eileen married divorcee Ronnie George, who is the father of the best friend of her youngest son, Ian, who was then 10 years old. Ian met the Ronnie's son at a social club.
Eileen, who is now residing in Devon, England with new husband Ronnie, recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. She said, "It never dawned on me that two silver weddings was unique until my daughter Jacqueline mentioned it."
The Sun newspaper quoted Ronnie as revealing the secret to a happy marriage as, "Let your wife be the boss."
