An Ohio man and woman, both 24, held their wedding at a nursing home Saturday afternoon. They chose the Jo-Lin Center in Ironton so the groom's mother, who recently suffered a series of strokes, wouldn't miss out on the event. Aaron Grenier and Michelle Hogsten said they had been planning to get married at Jo-Lin for the past six months. Grenier's mother, Beverly Cade, had been in the home since February and was told by her doctors that leaving wouldn't be a good idea.

In a shocking incident in the Indian state of Rajasthan, the leaders of a village ordered 150 men to dip their hands into boiling oil to prove their innocence after food was stolen from a local school. The Sunday Express reports that the school's principal informed police in late August regarding some rice and wheat being stolen but police did not take any action.

A serial killer nurse who admitted killing 29 patients donates one of his kidneys to the brother of an ex-girlfriend. Charles Cullen had threatened to skip his sentencing hearing if he was not permitted to be the donor. In February, a judge approved Cullen's removal from prison for the operation.

An England man paid a 52 year old speeding citation this week. He said he found the citation in an old coat and his conscious is clear now that he settled up with Philadelphia Fairmont Park officials. John Gedge, 84 now lives in a East Sussex nursing home in England. He mailed a letter with a five pound note and the 1954 traffic citation.

A Russian court sentenced a 25-year-old for three years and nine months in prison for beating a cat to death in front of a number of children, the ITAR-TASS news agency said on Thursday. According to a report by AFP, the court heard that Nikolai Pavlenko, snatched a cat from the courtyard of an apartment block and then smashed its ahead against some steps, killing the animal, ITAR-TASS said citing local prosecutors.
