His duty was to protect the innocent and serve the law. But this police officer in Manila, Philippines is in hot water for "stealing," at least a kiss from the wife of one of the cop's detainees.
Police Officer 2 Luis Gonzales was being accused of Catherine Anne Buco a councilwoman of Barangay (village) 505 in Sampaloc, Manila of stealing a kiss from her when she went to the police station where Gonzales was assigned, to seek the release of her husband who had been arrested for drinking in public.
Police investigator Knowme Sia of the Manila Police District - General Assignment Section said the 22-year-old Buco filed a complaint saying the lewd act occurred inside the police station at 5:30 am (local time) Wednesday.
She said Buco went to the police station to arrange for the release of her husband who was arrested by authorities at around 3:30 am on Wednesday.
Buco told investigators that she was met Gonzales, one of the arresting officers, and told her to follow her outside the station to discuss her husband's case.
Gonzales reportedly told him they will inquest Buco's husband for violating a city ordinance against public drinking before the city's prosecutor's office. However, the officer allegedly told her that she has an alternative for the quick release of her husband.
When asked what the option is, Gonzales reportedly whispered to her "I love you," then planted a kiss on her lips.
Buco then went to Gonzales's superior officer to report his indecent behavior but was told just to forgive the incident for the early release of her husband.
