Four robbers dressed as women stole over $100 million worth of jewelry from one of Paris' most prestigious jewelry stores. Hit by the robbery was the Harry Winston store, located near the Champs-Elysee.

It was the second robbery to hit the same shop in almost 14 months. At that time the thieves got only $13 million (10 million euro) worth of valuables.

It is considered one of the largest heists in the country for decades.

The shop had 10 customers and 15 staff when the robbers entered the store Thursday afternoon. The group, who spoke French and another language, appeared to be familiar with the shop and even called some of the store staff by their names. They also knew where some of the more valuable items were stored.

They took almost all of the shop's contents which included rings, necklaces and watches and even injured some of the staff.

Harry Winston is a US-owned chain with outlets in London and Asia. Among its well heeled clients are members of the royalty and movie stars.
