A second-time mother has criticized hospital staff after she was ignored and gave birth to her daughter in the toilet. Kay Webb, 24, was rushed to Monash Medical Center on January 22 suffering contractions two to four minutes apart.

Two men have been charged for torturing a man they thought had been a police informant. Compounding the crime, it turns out the man they tortured was the wrong person. Mitchell Buie and Eduardo Lebron kept Charles Windham in their Daytona Beach home for more than 24 hours while they sliced him with a kitchen cleaver. The men also held a shotgun to his head and told him they would kill him.

29-year-old Rainer Schoenfelder didn't know he was being photographed as he skied down the Lauberhorn wearing only an orange helmet and yellow boots. The Austrian skier and world-cup racer, who had been experiencing pain since his crash in Turracher Hoehe, Austria, promised his physiotherapist that, if his pains eased up by January 9, 2007, he would ski naked. They did. So he did.

A woman from St. Petersburg in Florida mysteriously survived without any injury, when the bra she was wearing stopped a stray bullet fired into the air, from entering her body. Debbie Bingham was on a visit to her family on New Year's Eve when a . 45 caliber bullet fired into the air by an unknown person, hit her left shoulder when it fell back down to Earth.

More than lifting and support, a woman was saved by her bra from a falling bullet during New Year's celebrations. The bra strap on her left shoulder had slowed down the bullet and prevented serious injury. In town to visit family, Debbie Bingham, 46, had gone outside with her daughter and son to celebrate New Year and watch the local fireworks display. At 11:40 p. m. she reported feeling a sharp pain in her left shoulder.
