Several women in a County Durham village hoping to help raise funds for charity are selling plates with painted images done not by their hands - but with their bare breasts. Covering their breasts with paint, the women paint images of pandas, cherries, Christmas puddings and bumblebees on plates which are later glazed and fired

Two lesser pandas at a zoo in Kawasaki have drawn and fascinated visitors with their frequent daily mouth-to-mouth kissing. According to the Kyodo News the two pandas, both named Yuyu, were at first seen with the already-unusual habit of displaying behaviors similar to kissing on a regular basis early this year. A more astonishing development took place after the pandas have suddenly been seen engaging in such act several times in one day in their habitat at the Kawasaki Yumemigasaki Zoological Park.

Gu Gu, the panda bear who is the star attraction at the Beijing Zoo, attacked a teenager who jumped into his enclosure Monday afternoon, according to a zoo official and published reports. Eight-year-old Gu Gu and another bear were being fed when a 15 year old teenager, Li Xitao, jumped over a 1. 4m barrier surrounding the pandas' outdoor exercise area. Gu Gu attacked the teenager, ripping chunks off his legs, said a zoo official who would only give his name as Zhang.

A panda has finally settled questions about its gender after giving birth to twin female cubs in China, the Shanghai Daily reported on Friday. According to the newspaper, the 11-year-old panda named Jinzhu gave birth to twins on Monday at the Wolong Nature Reserve for Giant Pandas in the southwestern province of Sichuan. The cubs, which were born one hour apart, weighed 190 and 70 grams (6. 7 and 2. 5 ounces).

A giant panda at the San Diego Zoo is a proud new mama. After 2 1/2 hours in labor, Bai Yun gave birth to her fourth cub. Officials found out she was pregnant July 18 after they detected a heartbeat and saw the fetus on an ultrasound. The panda's sex is unknown and the head of the zoo's panda program says all they've seen so far is the tail.
