An American visitor had a part of her thumb bit off by a panda cub as she was feeding it bamboo at a reserve in southwest China. Identified only as Lisa, 50, she was listed in the Wolong Giant Panda Protection and Research Center as a volunteer.

A baby panda is weighing in as the biggest born in captivity. The panda's mother, Zhang Ka, spent 34 hours in labor, giving birth to the half-pound baby in China.

Two psychics say Lun Lun the giant panda may be pregnant. The condition of the 8-year-old panda has been under suspicion for some time. The zoo says the predictions of the two psychics was all done in fun.
