A large number of students from U.S. universities are worried about the use of popular social networking site Facebook.com after their parents started using it to inspect and reject their future roommates.
There have been reports about many concerned parents using the online site to reject or approve of their child's college roommate by visiting their profile and analysing their behaviour.
After studying the profiles of the students, many parents say that they have come to know if their children's future roommates are potential drug or alcohol abusers. This unusual practice also gives the parents enough information regarding a potential roommate's sexual orientation, race or religious beliefs by their pictures.
According to USA Today, many universities and colleges are now gearing up for several requests from parents for changes to their children's' living arrangements after they studied and analyzed their children's profiles.
