Heiress and party girl Paris Hilton participated in a radio station's set-up to prank call a Hilton hotel in Glasgow, Scotland and ask them for a discount on a room there.

Hilton, whose great-grandfather founded the worldwide hotel chain, agreed to call the Glasgow hotel, which was aired on Real Radio.

During the prank, the reality television star asked for a discount on a standard queen room. According to RTE News, the reservationist replied: "There is no discount I can initiate, I'm afraid."

When further questioned by Hilton, he said: "That is the cheapest rate I have available to me."

Real Radio host Robin Galloway said: "I didn't think Paris would be up for doing the wind-up, but she was a great sport and even thought the guy in reservations at the hotel was way too serious."
