The Paris-based car firm which own the car Britain's Princess Diana died in are hoping to sell it for up to Ł1 million ($1. 75 Million). Princess William and Harry - Diana's sons - are reportedly devastated at the news as they hoped the Mercedes, which has been kept in a secure police compound in London since 2005, would be disposed of "privately and discreetly".

An Ohio mother was convicted Friday of killing her baby by burning it to death in a microwave oven. She now may face the death penalty. China Arnold reportedly showed little emotion upon hearing the verdict, but put her head down and looked at the defense table.

As more Canadians shift to public transport or alternative methods of traveling caused by high fuel cost, transportation-related policies have taken center stage in the city halls of major cities. At Ottawa, the city's Transit Committee rejected a proposal to allow pets on public buses during a six-month pilot test period. The proposal came from Capital Coun. Clive Doucet. After two hours of debate his proposal was thumbed down.

An Israeli ultra-Orthodox Jewish couple is facing possible charges of negligence after leaving behind their four-year-old daughter at the Ben-Gurion airport in Israel on Sunday to take a vacation in Paris, France. Airport investigators said the couple, whose names were being withheld, were late for their flight to Paris on Sunday and rushed to the gate with their five children. Because of their mad dash to the gate, the parents forgot about their four-year-old daughter and learned she was missing after being told about it by flight attendants in mid-air.
