Paris Hilton has been immortalized as a doll wearing prison overalls. The convicted hotel heiress' impending jail sentence has inspired a line of memorabilia - which includes T-shirts, mugs and prisoner-Paris figures. Sandy Kelley - who sells the dolls - is quoted as saying by Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "I'm sure Paris wouldn't mind. Everyone knows how she loves to be the center of attention. "

Postcards featuring Britain's late Princess Diana have been banned from royal palace shops. Buckingham Palace and other royal residences have stopped the sale of postcards bearing Diana's image in line with their rule dictating that only cards featuring current members of the royal family should be sold. The move comes despite predictions that the postcards of Diana - who was killed in a tragic Paris car crash on August 31, 1997 - would be hugely popular as the country approaches the 10th anniversary of her death.

A French train broke the world speed record Tuesday for conventional rail trains when it roared along at more than 350 mph, just a few points behind the Japanese magnetically levitated train. France's TGV, with a 25,000-horsepower engine and special wheels, reached 357. 2 mph as against Japan's 361. The black and chrome V150 with three double-decker cars surpassed the record of 320. 2 mph (515. 3 kph) set in 1990 by another French train. Engineers attributed the two supercharged locomotives and extra-large wheels for the speed.

Frenchman Alain Robert, a self-styled rock climber, was only 18 floors away from his destination on Tuesday when he was arrested by police personnel. The 44-year-old, who has been nicknamed "Spiderman" by the local media, was climbing one of Malaysia's 88-story Petronas Twin Towers without any safety equipment. As Robert reached the 60th floor of the building he was grabbed by firemen waiting for him. Authorities suspect the feat was unauthorized and they plan to charge Robert with trespassing.
