A pastor at the Taft Free Will Baptist Church, who always keeps a gun and handcuffs in his fanny pack, got a chance to use them when he nabbed a man who allegedly stole a car from his church's parking lot. James Kilgore, a former Bakersfield police officer, says his whole congregation was stunned to find his a 1986 Ford Crown Victoria missing when they came back from a Bible study.

A 53-year-old man was bound, gagged and kidnapped after his attackers hijacked his transport truck in Toronto early Thursday morning. He was then forced into an Acura that was driven to a parking lot near highway 401 in Guelph. The victim was left tied up in the front seat of the car.

An 11-year-old Texas boy successfully led police to the arrest of a man suspected of large-scale theft. The little detective, identified only as Simeon, was waiting with younger siblings in the parking lot of a Dollar Tree store in Universal City when the incident tool place. The San Antonio Express-News reported that Simeon spotted a man getting into and out of a pickup, while smashing a window on a Nissan Xterra and stealing items from the car.

A man was arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse and theft after he tried to use an ATM card stolen from a dead man. Dennis James Laslo, 45, found the body of 50-year-old Maynard Samuel Anthony in a pickup truck Saturday morning and drove his decomposing body for almost entire day before being caught by the police.

A peacock that roamed into a Burger King Parking lot was beaten with a bat and stepped on. A man in his late teens or early twenties, as described by witnesses, saw the peacock sitting on the hood of a car as employees were feeding it. He grabbed the bird by the neck, hurled it at the pavement and started stomping on it. When asked by the employees what he was doing the man said "I'm killing a vampire!"
