The St. Patrick's Day holiday causes a slight stir in Omaha, as it falls on Friday. According to a local television station, Omaha's Ancient Order of Hibernians ordered corned beef for its annual St. Patrick's Day feed, however it falls on a Friday this year and is in direct conflict with the Catholic rule to eat no meat on Lenten Fridays.

Anton Skvortsov was given a harsh lesson in biting the hand that feeds you after being chomped on by his alligator as he tried to feed it sausages. The 35-year-old Russian businessman was showing off for friends and colleagues at an office party how much his alligator Musya loved him. He went on to open its cage to feed it by hand.
