Resurrected Briton John Darwin was charged with fraud on Saturday, after he resurfaced a week earlier after a five-year disappearance. Police thumbed down the canoeist Darwin's claim of amnesia, and decided to sue him for with "offenses of obtaining a money transfer by deception and making an untrue statement. . . to procure a passport," according to Cleveland Police Detective Sergeant Iain Henderson.

After a four-year struggle to get a European Union visa, an Egyptian man had a nervous break-down at the Cairo airport and tore apart his passport, minutes before boarding a plan to Milan, Italy. The debacle ended the young man's hope of entering Europe. Other travelers noticed the young man talking to himself vaguely and then storming off into a breakdown, which caused him to tear his passport apart. Woman Tries To Smuggle Drugs In The Cast Of Her Leg

Dutch customs police on Friday nabbed a Latin American woman from Suriname as she tried to smuggle 3. 3 pounds of cocaine into the country in a plaster cast on her leg. The woman, whose name is not released, showed anxiety and nervousness when the police officers checked her passport. Also, the thickness of the cast on her leg aroused suspicion after she showed two different letters from a doctor that did not appear genuine.

An Italian national was placed under arrest by Philippine aviation officials Wednesday after he joked he was carrying three nuclear bombs in his pocket and was a member of a terrorist group responsible for deadly attacks around the world. Salvini Fabrizio, who was carrying an Italian passport, was held at the final checkpoint of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila at 4:14 pm when he told police he was carrying bombs in his pocket.

Swedish Couple Locked in Legal Fight With Tax Board Over Baby's Name

A Swedish couple had to scrap their plans to travel to Germany because the name they want to give to their six-month-old daughter is unacceptable by the State's tax board and the family can not travel without a registered first name on the kid's passport. Although the couple finds the name "Metallica" really befitting for their obstinate daughter, the tax board contends it as gross and unflattering. According to The Local reports, the tax board has refused to register the name on the grounds that the name may be derived from an American heavy metal band and is too closely related to the word "metal. "
