A retired American astronaut said he is sure there is alien life in the universe and that governments have covered up their knowledge about it for decades. Edgar Mitchell, who holds the record for the longest time spent on the moon, more than nine hours, made the statement during an interview on British radio.

Officers on patrol at a central Philippines police station have abandoned automobiles to patrol communities on bicycles to save gasoline and avoid rising fuel prices. While on duty, police will ride custom-built bicycles and outfitted with protective gear. Mayor Ramon Talaga Jr. , of Lucena City in central Philippines said the 10 police officers will initially be involved. They will be given bicycles to ride while patrolling the community to watch for crimes.

With soaring gas prices, it is not surprising to hear that incidents of road rage are on the rise. A study by a Colorado State University social psychologist said there is a better predictor of road rage behavior among American motorists. According to William Szlemko, in his recent study published at the Journal of Applied Social Psychology, the more a driver has bumper stickers, window decals, personalized licensed plates and other territorial markers on his vehicle, the greater is his tendency to get mad when someone cuts into his lane.

A Philippine lawyer filed a complaint before the Manila prosecutor's office on Tuesday accusing Pope Benedict XVI and an archbishop of swindling, teaching immoral doctrines and public disorder. According to lawyer Elly Lao Pamatong, as quoted on GMANews. tv, the Pope "has been defrauding billions of innocent members of the human race by telling mythical and deceitful stories" that "have proximately caused the herein complainant and billions of other victims to turn over one-tenth of their incomes" to the Pope, Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales "and their accomplices. "

A 101-year old man from Phoenix, Arizona realized a lifelong dream Saturday when he was awarded legal American citizenship. The first centenarian to become an American citizenship in the state, Vicente Osorio Rios achieved his legal citizen status at a local court, in a ceremony witnessed by family members that altogether spanned three generations.
