Broward County police are looking for a man who they say shot a woman after she refused to give him her phone number. The Sun-Sentinel reported Friday that on 3 a. m. on Aug. 26 Vernice Morris, 23, was leaving a club when a man she didn't know pulled up to her in a black Lexus SUV and asked for her phone number. When she refused, the man followed her to where her car was parked and asked again. Morris still said no. She told police that he said he was insulted, and bragged about other cars he had. He spoke in a Jamaican accent. When she continued to refuse to give him her phone number, she said he told her, "people like you, I put a gunshot in your chest. "
