French anti-fur activists struck a Vogue editor in the face with a cream pie. Anna Wintour, editor of the U.S. edition of Vogue, was attacked for her support of the use of animal fur by the fashion industry.
Wintour was hit in the face with a tofu cream pie as she left the Chloe fashion ready-to-wear show at the Tuileries Gardens in central Paris. It was the second such attack this year on on the Vogue Editrix, who is an unapologetic fur supporter according to animal rights groups and even has the nickname "pelt pusher".
PETA campaigner Yvonne Taylor says, "Wintour is fur-bearing animals' worst enemy because her magazine continues to feature dozens of pages of pro-fur editorials and advertising each year. She takes big glossy advertisements for fur and she refuses to run any anti-fur ads, even paid ones, so she's a big fur supporter."
PETA has recently publicly threatened other fur wearing celebrities such as Elle McPherson and Jennifer Lopez. The Latina actress and singer annoyed PETA again when she revealed she's eating from KFC after every concert, because, as she claims, they are offering "free cakes".
The animal rights group targeted KFC as well, for their cruel treatments on animals earlier this year with a campaign narrated by Pamela Anderson.
