A judge at the U. S. District Court in Manhattan on Thursday overturned an appeal by a man who had sued the city for entering his apartment without a search warrant, after he was mauled by his own pet tiger. The ruling appeared in public records on Monday. Antonie Yates was arrested on Oct. 4, 2003, at a Philadelphia hospital where he had gone for treatment of a deep bite by his pet tiger. Yates, who also possessed an alligator has been charged with reckless endangerment.

An England man paid a 52 year old speeding citation this week. He said he found the citation in an old coat and his conscious is clear now that he settled up with Philadelphia Fairmont Park officials. John Gedge, 84 now lives in a East Sussex nursing home in England. He mailed a letter with a five pound note and the 1954 traffic citation.

A Pennsylvania couple is suing a veterinarian who allegedly faked a euthanization of their dog before giving the canine to another person. The Associated Press reports Dana and Gary Gayner watched what they thought was the death of their 2-year-old German shepherd Annie. The dog had been suffering from frequent seizures.
