A photographer from Kent has come up with other uses for his groceries other than eating them - use them as art materials.

Using vegetables, meat, fish and dairy products, Carl Warner has come up with amazing pieces of artistic photos, which included a Broccoli Forest, Salmon Sea and Mushroom Field among others.

Calling his innovative art Foodscapes, Carl takes his shots in layers from the 2-foot foreground to 8-foot background aided by model-makers and food stylists before putting all the elements together in post production to achieve the final image.

The 44-year old Carl - whose works have now been commissioned by ad agencies for supermarkets including Sainsbury's - says he got his inspiration from classic movies such as Willy Wonk and the Wizard of Oz.

"Willy Wonka and the Wizard of Oz are definitely a big influence," said Carl. "My favorite scene is Broccoli Forest as it raised the bar on how realistic I could make them look."
