A two-week-old piglet was found in a truck filled with toilet paper rolls to be delivered in Derbyshire, England. The animal was discovered by staff who were unloading the delivery vehicle.
Upon discovery, the piglet was taken to the Radcliffe-on-Trent Animal Shelter, where it is now being treated for a few minor cuts and bruises. Although there is no definite explanation as to how the piglet got onto the delivery truck, the shelter said it might have been part of a prank.
"If this was a deliberate prank, those involved have spared no thought for the animal's welfare," said Ella Herring, Radcliffe-on-Trent's deputy manager. "Fortunately Tesco staff acted quickly in contacting us and kept the piglet warm until the RSPCA arrived."
