Whiskey Disappears From Indian PM's Plane

Indian security forces are currently looking for whiskey that reportedly disappeared from the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's aircraft. Security officers were surprised to discover that premium seals on some of the plane's interior cabinets had also been broken. Security forces initially suspected the hand of terrorists; but later found out the Prime Minister's whiskey had been stolen. The incident happened on Singh's flight to Germany in April.

Man Sentenced for Shooting at Toy Plane

A man has been sentenced to six months' probation for shooting at his neighbor's radio-controlled model airplanes with a shotgun. David Nuttle, of Washtenaw County's Webster Township, pleaded guilty to one count of malicious destruction of property worth less than $200, a misdemeanor. Judge Richard Conlin of 14-A District Court in Chelsea sentenced him to six months of probation and 50 hours of community service. Conlin also gave him a 20-day suspended jail sentence, deferred as long as Nuttle complies with the conditions of his probation, which includes no alcohol or drugs and no contact with the plane's owner.

Music Channel to Run Hour-Long 99 Red Balloons for Charity

Music channel VH1 Classic will play Nena's 1984 hit 99 Red Balloons non-stop for an hour after a viewer pledged $35,000 for charity. The channel has been running a charity jukebox to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Viewers could pay per track or by the hour to request their favorite videos. One person has paid for 60 minutes of the song, to be screened in its English and German versions on Sunday.

Dogs Delay Airplane Landings

Two passenger planes in Macedonia were forced to circle the airfield after stray dogs refused to leave the runway area. Security noticed the dogs playing around and ordered a flight from Vienna and one from Zurich to circle until the dogs could be cleared from the runway.
