A man stands accused of being drunk at the wheel after police found him asleep in a drive-thru lane with a beer in his cup holder Saturday.
Kitsap County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at a Silverdale Wendy's fast food restaurant about 2:30 a.m., where witnesses said a car had been parked in the closed drive-thru lane for about 30 minutes, the UPI reported.
The man's head was hanging and "drool (was) coming from his mouth," deputies said. When the officers were finally able to wake the man, he tried to drive off, but a trooper had shut the truck off, the Kitsap Sun reported.
The 21-year-old man appeared "very confused" and uncertain of where he was, deputies said.
Police eventually arrested the man on suspicion of control of a vehicle while intoxicated and was taken to the Kitsap County jail, where deputies also found marijuana in his pockets.
