A Chihuahua became a local spectacle at a Japanese temple, after the dog began to imitate the worshipers by clasping his front paws together, a position similar to hands placed together in prayer. The dog, a two-year old long-haired Chihuahua named Conan, would reportedly assume the praying position taken by temple worshipers, as a way of asking for doggie treats.

A homeless man was arrested after allegedly attacking four people with a chainsaw. The incident was said to have taken place at a local homeless shelter near the Jefferson City area. The suspect was Matthew Watkins, 28, who was said to have injured the victims Saturday, while he was participating in a training program being offered at the Rev. Larry Rice's Mid-American Care Center.

A state representative-elect, carrying a Bible and was just sworn into office, kicked a photographer who took a picture of him during a prayer in the statehouse. Douglas Bruce visited the House floor as a guest of a fellow Colorado Springs Republican Rep. Kent Lambert on Monday morning.

A farmer who got his hand stuck in a rusty corn harvester cut off his own arm with a pocketknife to save himself from being burned when the machine caught fire. Describing the September incident on NBC's "Today Show," Sampson Parker said that he had taken off the glove of his right hand and reached into the machine to remove a corn-stalk when his hand got stuck.

Police arrested 41-year old Carl Hagy for laptop theft. His victim was a preacher who was in prayer during the robbery - incidentally, the same preacher Hagy sold the laptop to two weeks before he stole it. Police received a call from the Destiny Global Ministries saying that Rev. Fidelis Obdike had been the victim of a laptop theft.
