British Royal Weddings' Memorabilia Goes On Display

Private letters and mementos giving a rare behind-the-scenes look at royal British weddings have gone public at Windsor Castle. The items on display include extracts from Queen Victoria's journal written shortly before her 1840 marriage to Prince Albert, in which she describes him as "excessively handsome. "The journals are part of a collection put together to mark the diamond anniversary of Britain's Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

Couple Finds Condom In McDonald's "Happy Meal"

A couple in New Zealand were "horrified" after they discovered an unused condom inside a small sports bag that came with a happy meal gift bag they bought for their seven year old granddaughter. The incident happened Tuesday night when Suzanne and Rowan Hatch stopped at a Wellington McDonald's outlet and bought the gift pack as a pre-theatre treat for the girl.

Ryan Fitzgerald Receives Over 5,000 Calls After Posting Video On YouTube

According to Ryan Fitzgerald's YouTube video, all he wanted to do when he gave out his cellphone number was be a good listener to anyone who needed to talk. Since his Friday message of, "I never met you, but I do care," he has received over 5,000 calls. T-Mobile, Fitzgerald's cellphone provider, has advised him that he is no longer eligible for weekend minutes. Fitzgerald's inspiration was Juan Mann's "Free Hugs," video on YouTube, which showed a man hugging strangers. He stated that the video of Luke Johnson, who posted his phone number on YouTube in September and has since received over 138 thousand calls, is very different from his video, which relates to human interaction.

Teen Girl Wins $25,000 In Text-Messaging Contest

A 13-year-old Pennsylvania girl won $25,000 after typing "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" from "Mary Poppins" on her cell phone in less time than 200 other competitors in a text-messaging competition. Morgan Pozgar typed the Disney classic's "biggest word I ever heard" in only 15 seconds, beating out the former national text-messaging champ, 21-year-old Eli Tirosh of Los Angeles. Morgan, who estimated she sends more than 8,000 text messages every month, described her phone as "pretty worn in," according to UPI.

New York Couple And Their Two Cats Complete 2,500 Mile Cab Ride

The Sedona Kitty Express, a cab that traveled a 2,500-mile ride from New York to northern Arizona, reached its destination on Monday. The couple, Bob and Betty Matas, who wanted to make the long journey comfortable for their two cats Pretty Face and Cleopatra, decided to hire cab driver Douglas Guldeniz's Ford SUV for a $3,000 per day flat rate plus gas, meals and lodging. The couple, who rode nearly 10 hours a day, said they were "flabbergasted" by the kind of attention they received in every state they crossed. Everyone recognized the couple and in Sedona, Arizona the Mayor himself welcomed the couple at a noontime ceremony Monday, presenting them with a bag of Sedona souvenirs.
