It seems like Princess Michael of Kent thinks her children are more cultured and knowledgeable than others. The British princess recently boasted that her children are better educated than the rest of the royal family.
In an interview with the princess, the first cousin of Queen Elizabeth, said her children, Lord Frederick Windsor and Lady Gabriella Windsor, were "more educated than their cousins," including Princes William and Harry.
Frederick, 27, known as Freddie, a former King's Scholar at Eton, has a 2:1 degree in Classics at Oxford. His sister, known as Ella, 25, also achieved a good degree in comparative literature from America's Ivy League institution Brown University.
Princess Michael, nicknamed Princess Pushy, told journalist Daphne Barak, "They're good-looking, they come from a good family and they have good degrees from top universities. They are more educated than their cousins. No children in the royal family have got as good degrees as they've got."
Royal biographer Robert Lacey, said the comments would, "not make her very popular."
He added, "It is most un-royal to be highly educated and most un-royal for one's mother to brag about it."
After Princess Michael's children, the royal who can boast the best academic achievements is Prince William, who has two As and a C at A-level and a 2 to 1 degree in Geography from St. Andrews University.
Despite Freddie and Ella's excellent qualifications, Freddie has brought some shame to the family after he took up modeling and openly admitted taking cocaine. However, he now works for a prestigious private banking firm, while Ella is an aspiring writer.
Meanwhile, more of Princess Michael's unwanted household junk was sold at an auction on Friday. The sale - which included a pair of ornate candlesticks, one of which is broken in four places - only raised $726.
