A prostitute helps nab a policeman who forced her to have sex with him by stealing his badge.
When officer Michael LoPriore called her to get his badge back, the FBI was listening in on the call.
LoPriore, 37, was charged with depriving the woman of her rights by using his position to force her to perform sex acts in his car.
He agreed to plead guilty and resign and never hold another law enforcement job in Massachusetts.
Under the plea deal, prosecutors are recommending that the 12-year veteran of Boston's police force serve a year in prison.
John Swomley, lawyer for the 19-year-old prostitute, said LoPriore stopped her while he was off duty in his personal car.
He displayed his badge and told her to get in the car. He drove to another location and forced her to perform oral sex.
Swomley said, "She told me the badge was stuffed in a little cubby in the front console. His head was back and he wasn't really paying attention to where her hands were."
