Thailand will spend $2. 9 million to $14. 6 million to build a firewall which will monitor and block Websites that insult the Royal Family. Thai Communications Minister Mun Patanotai said the 100 to 500-million baht firewall was decided after the ministry got more than 1,000 complaints about portals that are considered offensive to the royal family. But he declined to identify the Webpages.

Britain's Queen Elizabeth was delivered 12 barrels of lager by mistake recently. Staff at the queen's Berkshire residence Windsor Castle were amazed when a lorry carrying 2,000 pints of lager arrived at the grounds, but a royal protection officer quickly realized the delivery was meant for a pub called Windsor Castle located five miles away.

Jordan's Queen Rania has urged her country's people to stick to a healthy eating regime during Ramadan, an Islamic holy month where eating between dawn and sunset is forbidden. The queen is concerned that people are tending to overeat after sunset because they have deprived themselves of food during the day, and is backing the government media campaign to encourage people to steer clear of heavy, rich meals in the evening.

The remains of a woolly mammoth have been discovered on Britain's Queen Elizabeth's Scottish estate Balmoral. The bones were found by a workman as he made holes for a new fishing loch in the estate's grounds.

Britain's Queen Victoria's stocking have sold at auction for a staggering $16,000. The black and white silk stockings, which bear the royal crest, fetched 40 times their list price when they were bought by David Alcock. Alcock, a bidder from North Wales, bought the legwear for Nottingham's Ruddington Framework Knitters' Museum - in honor of his late father-in-law Jack Smirfitt, who was a curator at the museum.
