A Muslim man in the state of West Bengal, India, married his daughter and made her pregnant claiming he had divine sanction for his incestuous act, officials said Monday. Afazuddin Ali, 36, who has five children, married his 15 year old eldest daughter six months back. He informed his wife Sakina of his decision claiming that he had divine sanction from Allah.

South Korea has sparked a gender row following its decision to print banknotes featuring the face of a woman who symbolizes motherhood in the country. The country's Central Bank has chosen to print the new 50,000 won note with the image of Shin Saimdang, the first woman to feature in the country's currency notes.

Doctors in Australia revealed Wednesday they saved an Italian tourist's life by drip-feeding him steady doses of vodka over three days. The patient was given three standard drinks an hour over the period while he was in intensive care unit. The 24-year old unidentified man was brought to Mackay Base Hospital in north Queensland two months ago after a failed suicide attempt. He had swallowed huge quantities of ethylene glycol, a poison commonly found in anti-freeze.

A 52-year-old man from San Francisco, Calif. was sentenced to more than 13 years in prison after he pleaded no contest earlier this month to five counts of felony indecent exposure. Kenneth Ray Burton, whom prosecutors dubbed as a "career flasher", was arrested in July 2006 for allegedly masturbating in front of a woman on a Bay Area Rapid Transit train from San Francisco to Millbrae.
