Four Honor Guards Stand 9 Hours During 12-Mile Funeral Procession Of Philippine Ex-President

Four honor guards who escorted the casket bearing former Philippine president Corazon Aquino stood motionless during the nine-hour and 12-mile funeral procession of the departed leader Wednesday.

Police officer Danilo Malab Jr., 25, army soldier Antonio Cadiente, 23, air force officer Gener Laguindan, 24, and navy officer Edgardo Rodriguez, 37, endured thirst, hunger, rain and the discomfort of not peeing during the unexpected lengthy procession from a church in Manila to a cemetery in Paranaque City.

Queen Elizabeth's Stolen Silver Cutlery Returned

Silver cutlery stolen from Britain's Queen Elizabeth has been returned anonymously. The monarch was devastated when several items of irreplaceable crockery and cutlery were taken from her private tent at a Buckingham Palace garden party earlier this month but several spoons have now been posted back to royal staff.

A source said: "Some of the silver King George III spoons have been sent back through the post. Anonymously, of course - someone must have felt guilty."

A beach favored by Princes William and Harry has been voted one of the most polluted in the country. Rock in Cornwall - an area the princes and their friends regularly frequent - did not meet the basic requirement for water quality, according to The Marine Conservation Society (MCS).

The society added swimming in the sea at the idyllic beach was "not recommended."

Giant Lobster Takes Over US1 In The Florida Keys

The infamous giant lobster of Plantation Key used U.S. 1 as a route to her new home Friday morning in the Florida Keys. Betsey, a rather large lobster at three-stories tall, has made a new home in front of the Rain Barrel Artisan Village shopping complex at U.S. 1 mile marker 86.7.

Made from fiberglass and metal, Betsey is a detailed, biologically accurate sculpture of a female spiny lobster. She moved to her new home after her old perch, a former shopping complex, was converted to a school, the Florida Keys Keynoter reported.
