You might want to think twice before you go around saving a damsel in distress, like one would-be Wisconsin knight knows now. James Van Iveren is facing criminal charges after he mistook the sound of a woman screaming for a rape in progress, and burst through his neighbor's door armed with a sword. According to a police affidavit, Van Iveren kicked open the door of an apartment without warning and pointed a sword at the owner, who was watching an adult DVD at the time.

In a ground-breaking case, a 24-year-old Norwegian woman has been sentenced to nine months in prison and fine after being convicted of forcing sex on a sleeping man. According to Aftenposten newspaper, the woman, whose identity has not been revealed, was also ordered to pay NOK 40,000 ($ 6,385) to the man.

A former U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) press aide has pleaded no contest after a police sting caught him in "sexually explicit" conversations with a "teenage girl" online. Brian J. Doyle, 55, was arrested after he had inappropriate and illegal conversations with an undercover detective posing as a young girl. Now Doyle faces up to five years behind bars, and a sentencing hearing scheduled for late November.

A man accused of sexually assaulting disabled young boys tells the court that it was part of a constitutionally protected religious ritual. Phillip Distasio, 34, who stands accused of 74 charges of rape, drugs and pandering obscenity to minors, tells the judge that he is a pagan friar, and has declined legal representation.

Strippers and prostitutes are demonstrating for more legal protection and the decriminalization of prostitution. The protest is being held in downtown Las Vegas on the steps of the city's courthouse. Sex industry workers say all too often, workers claims of rape and violence are ignored by authorities and that anti-human trafficking laws are sometimes unfairly used against sex industry workers.
