According to the findings of a new survey, most Americans are open to other forms of religion. A majority of them said that religion forms an important part of their life while others believed the way to salvation can assume different forms. The U. S. Religious Landscape Survey was carried out by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life and revealed a spirit of tolerance among majority of Americans.

Ontario residents are not in favor of scrapping the Lord's Prayer from the daily rites of the province's legislature. The proof was 5,700 submissions to the province's website, which caused the portal to temporarily crash. Residents who could not send their comments electronically jammed the province's phone lines to express their preference that the Our Father remain a part of the opening prayers of the Ontario's legislature.

Pope Benedict XVI publicly baptized on Monday an Egyptian-born Muslim journalist, known for his renunciation of Islamic beliefs. The traditional Easter vigil service held on Monday at St. Peter's Basilica, marked the beginning of 55-year-old Magdi Allam's life as a Roman Catholic, after he admitted that he has been a non-practicing Muslim all his adult life. Taking "Christian" for his middle name, Allam, a deputy director for the Italian newspaper, Corriere della Sera, wrote in an article, "I had to do this. Beyond extremists and Islamist terrorism at the global level, the root of evil is inherent in a physiologically violent and historically conflictual Islam. "

An atheist from Illinois expressed disapproval over license plates that brandish the words "In God We Trust", and has expressed that plates should also be made available that state "God is Make-Believe. " The man, Rob Sherman from Buffalo Grove, was adamant in saying that the option should be open, since residents have the option of buying the "In God We Trust" license plates for a mere extra $20.

One place where you won't find a new kid in the office block - Canada. It may have been barely noticeable two decades ago, but there's no denying the fact now that Canada's workforce is going grey. Census data shows that the country's labor force is increasingly being made up of older workers. Recent labor statistics found the new median age of Canada's workforce is over 41-years-old, and revealed that more than two million Canadians aged 55 to 64 are still gainfully employed.
