Police said a taxi driver hit two students with his cab after an argument over religion. According to the incident report, Ibrahim Ahmed, a 37-year-old Sunni Muslim from Somalia, picked up two college students on Sunday. The men were visiting the Vanderbilt University campus in Nashville, Tenn from Ohio.

A Miami priest who served several stints in jail and has 666 tattooed on his body claims he is Jesus reincarnated. His church members, reaching numbers in the thousands, also believe he is what he says. Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda is also called "Daddy" by his followers. Although he calls himself Jesus, some say he is no more than a cult leader.

Two self-proclaimed Jedi Knights have petitioned the United Nations to officially recognize their faith as a religion. John Wilkinson and Charlotte Law, who calls themselves Umada and Yunyun based on their Jedi "religion," have told the U. N. that the Jedi is worthy of being called a religion.

Two women are suing the government after they were not allowed to have Wiccan symbols on their husband's tombstones in a military cemetery. The families of deceased military members have one of 38 symbols to choose from for their loved one's headstone. Most of them are for religions such as Christianity, Buddhism, Islam and Judaism. The widows said this is unconstitutional.

A Kenyan couple has been sentenced to 18 months in jail after they were caught having sex in a mosque. The presiding judge called the act an "abominable" offense to religion. The couple was caught by a worshipper on his was to recite his evening prayers. He heard "strange noises" coming from a dark corner of the mosque. He went to investigate and discovered the cause of the noise when he found the couple.
