A reporter for WCGS-TV in New York was fired Thursday after he uttered the curse word during a live broadcast.

Arthur Chi'en was delivering a live intro to a feature when two men walked up behind him holding up signs and singing "Opie and Anthony," the name of two popular shock jocks.

That's when Chi'en, under the impression the feed had cut away, turned around and asked, "What the f*** is your problem, man?"

His words were broadcast live on the air.

WCBS-TV later confirmed Chi'en had been fired and the station apologized "for the use of inappropriate language."
