A three-year-old baby elephant was pulled out unharmed from a storm drainage that it had accidentally fallen into and got trapped for three hours in a Thai beach town.

Rescuers used a bulldozer Monday night to widen the hole where the elephant got stuck before the animal was lifted to safety.

The elephant rescue in Rayong province became a spectacle as bystanders and pedestrians watched the bulldozer dig up around the hole to widen it and took photos of the poor animal waiting to be hauled out.
