A restaurant owner whose business was trampled by escaped elephants last month has reopened and revamped the eatery with a new name, "Restaurant where Elephants Have Been."

Restaurant owner Keum Taek-hoon said Monday she used the $18,000 insurance money she collected to remodel the restaurant, which now displays a sign featuring three elephants.

She also implemented a new 7,000-won menu item called an "elephant set," consisting of seven vegetable side dishes and a soup, which has proved popular.

Keum eventually plans to decorate her establishment with pictures of elephants.

On April 20, a pack of six elephants escaped from a zoo and roamed the streets of the capital.

Three crashed the eatery, crushing tables and eating carrots, sending patrons fleeing in terror.

Since the re-opening, customers have visited out of curiosity, causing business to double.
