A fast food worker in Arkansas is crying fowl over some disrepectful treatment he's been receiving while in his chicken suit. The man dresses up as a restaurant's mascot and stands outside promoting the eatery. Steven Turnage says it's bad enough standing outside along a city street in 105-degree heat in a chicken suit, but having people through things at him isn't helping.

For some, art doesn't belong in a fast-food restaurant bathroom. An American tourist in Holland has made an official complaint to McDonalds after having been offended by a mouth-shaped urinal in one of its restaurants in the south east of the Netherlands. The customer made the complaint to McDonald's head office in the United States.

As part of a project to raise HIV/AIDS awareness in India, prostitutes who are routinely checked at a sexual health clinic are being awarded with discount shopping cards. The United Nation's AIDS-prevention agency recently said India has the highest number of people infected with HIV worldwide, with approximately 5. 7 million people living with the virus.

The 2006 update of the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary adds mouse potatoes, googling and himbo, among 100 new words. The mouse potato is defined as someone who spends as much time on the computer as a coach potato does on the sofa.

The local council of Rockdale, a suburb south of Sydney, Australia, has decided to deal with juvenile delinquency by piping the music of Barry Manilow through a loudspeaker into a parking-lot troublespot. The councilors hope Manilow hits such as "Mandy" and "Copacabana" will spoil the mood of young hooligans, forcing them to flee from the premises.
