A 75-year-old retired Romanian woman used some old-fashion karate moves in order to scare aware burglars who were invading her home.
The woman, Anica D, told police she was sleeping when the burglar broke into her house and attacked her.
She said she cried for help but nobody came so she tried some karate she had picked up from a self-defense TV show.
The woman managed to throw her attacker to the ground and then called police who arrested the man, reports the Ziarul newspaper.
The 30-year-old burglar has been charged with burglary and attempted rape.
