Caterina Bonci is accusing Catholic Church authorities of firing her because she is too attractive to teach religion after 14 years on the job. The Church, however, says she was removed from the central Adriatic city of Fano because she is divorced. Bonci says that she has never hidden her 2000 divorce from Church authorities, dresses down when teaching and defended her right to dress how she likes in her private life, according to Reuters.

A lovesick Pakistani faces up to three years in jail for falsely charging a brother and a cousin of the woman he wishes to marry of planning a suicide attack on the U. S. consulate in Karachi. Jobless laborer Mohammad Imran triggered a security panic when he made a hoax call to the U. S. embassy in Islamabad last month after relatives barred him from meeting or speaking to the woman.

Sub-Saharan Africa's last absolute monarch, King Mswati III of Swaziland, presided over ceremonies this week where more than 50,000 bare-breasted virgins vied to become his 13th wife.
