Joseph C. Asselin has been arrested after a road-rage incident where police say he rammed his car into another person's vehicle because he was furious the other driver was using their cell phone while driving.

Mike Tellef, a Peoria police spokesman in Maricopa County says they arrested the 58-year-old man on charges of aggravated assault, criminal damage and endangerment.

According to Tellef, both drivers were heading east on West Northern Avenue when Asselin began to yell at the other driver for using his phone.

The two began to argue, exchanged foul language, where Asselin then intentionally drove his pickup truck into the victim's vehicle, sending it across the median and into oncoming traffic.

The victim narrowly avoided a head-on collision with other cars and Asselin fled the scene. Police say a tip helped them find the 58-year-old's car, which had evidence of the accident.
