olice had an easy time arresting a bank robber in Englewood, Colorado after he used his own account check as a note to demand money from a teller.
A man walked into the Bank of the West on September 5 and gave the teller a note written on a bank check that said, "Give me all the money in your drawer Now!"
Though the name and account numbers on the check were crossed out but the information was still legible.
FBI agent Rene VonderHaar said told the Associated Press, "We could still make it out even though he blacked it out."
FBI said Forest Kelly Bissonnette took almost $5,000. A federal arrest warrant on a charge of bank robbery was issued Friday for the 27-year-old Bissonnette.
Furthermore, a tipster called the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force to inform that a man named Forrest told him that he had robbed the bank and taken $5,000.
Bissonnette remained in federal custody Tuesday after turning himself in Friday.
