The 120-pound chimpanzee escaped at the Little Rock Zoo Tuesday into a service area when a zookeeper opened a door to her sleeping quarters, without being aware of Judy's presence. As the authorities tried to sedate Judy, she played havoc with a refrigerator where chimp snacks are stored, opened kitchen cupboards and pulled out juice and soft drinks. She also managed to have a sip or two from the soft drinks.

Valer told the police that when he returned home from work on Thursday, he found his apartment door kicked open and the 5-week-old puppies valued at a total of $10,000 missing.
