An unusually thin firefighter was able to put his stature to work when he wiggled his 6-foot-1, 160 pound frame into a narrow crevasse to rescue a toddler trapped nine feet underground. John Michael Butterfield, 16-months-old, was running at the Tamaques Park playground when he wondered into a nearby tennis court and fell into one of six holes dug by a contractor earlier that day to support new floodlights.

A skinned human exhibition opened at Tampa's Museum of Science and Industry, known as MOSI. The exhibit features 20 human bodies and 260 human organs. The Florida Anatomical Board, which regulates the distribution of cadavers for research and education, voted 4-2 in Gainesville to deny approval for the exhibit because board members did not agree with the way in which the bodies were preserved and displayed.

In Indiana, a DUI doesn't literally mean "driving. "Police arrested Kaylyn Kezy and Melissa Fredenburg on DUI charges after they pushed their car into a parked car. According to reports, the women were taking turns pushing the non-running car while the other steered.
