Russian Censors Fuming Over The Simpsons

Russian MPs have issued a final threat to TV stations to scale back on violent shows like The Simpsons if they want to avoid censorship. State Duma deputies overwhelmingly voted for a motion warning television channels to cut down on the amount of violence they show.

American Wins Bartending Competition

To highlight a year's hard work in training bartenders all over the world, InBev brought together a selection of international finalists for the annual Stella Artois World Draught Master Competition, a contest that rewards the world's best pourer of Belgian beers. The highly-anticipated competition took place on October 28th, 2005 at the Vaudeville Theater in Brussels, Belgium, capital of the beer loving community. The Stella Artois World Draught Master title has this year been awarded to Jessica Waltz, a 27-year-old bartender at Ten Stone in Philadelphia. Michel Denayer - Belgium (1st runner-up) and Irwin Pang from Singapore rounded out the top 3 (2nd runner-up).

The United States wins the annual Stella Artois World Draught Master Competition, a contest that rewards the world's best pourer of Belgian beers. The competition took place Friday night at the Vaudeville Theatre in Brussels, Belgium, which is capital of the beer loving community.

IMAX Corporation announces a new agreement with ZAO Kompaniya Perspektiva, the largest exhibitor in Ufa, Russia, to install an IMAX MPX (R) theatre system as part of an expansion to their flagship multiplex. Situated in central Russia, with a population of more than one million, Ufa becomes the fourth Russian city where The IMAX Experience (R) is set to debut in the coming year. Multiplex-based IMAX (R) theatres are also scheduled to open in Kazan, Perm and St. Petersburg next year, and the total number of IMAX theatres scheduled to be operating in the country by 2008 is now seven.

A train passing noisily over his head fails to waken a sleeping man in Russia, the InterfaxThe engineer saw somebody on the line and braked sharply. Rescuers tried to pull the drunken sleeper from underneath the carriages, but failed, and the train had to continue driving to free him.
