The organizers of the European Arm-Wrestling Championship have disqualified Russia's reigning champ after it was revealed that he sent a look-alike for the weigh-in test to enter the low-weight category. Arsen Liliev stood 4. 4 pounds heavier than the weight limit for the 154-pound weight class he wished to enter. After failing at the first weigh-in for 154-pound weight wrestling category, Liliev sent another 136 pound wrestler as a stand-in and cleared the test.

Man Beaten To Death After He Declines To Buy Religious CDs

A Russian immigrant living in Virginia was beaten to death with a rock on Thursday when he declined to buy some religious CDs offered to him. The incident took place at a highway rest stop in New Jersey when Brian K. White, approached Michail Makerenko,77, as he was standing by his car. According to reports, White wanted to sell a religious CD to him but Makerenko declined to buy it saying he doesn't need any. This apparently annoyed White, who picked up a rock and struck Makerenko in his head causing fatal blows. White then fled in his white Camaro but was followed by a witness and caught after a 90 mile chase by police.

In order to win a bet that he would marry before he turns 42, Russian billionaire bon vivant Mikhail Prokhorov plans to spend $10 million on his wedding to a woman he has never met. According to the Russian media, the lavish wedding ceremony with 700 guests would be held in the Maldives on his 42nd birthday, which falls on May 3. Organizers of the wedding say that Prokhorov is not aware which girl he is marrying.
