A 78-year-old great-grandfather is still playing Santa Claus after 54 years, despite having 17 heart attacks, two strokes, cancer and kidney failure. Dan Jones from Birmingham, England is not letting his ill health to stop him from performing the role of Santa every year because the children enjoyed it so much.

It was a pleasant surprise for Spokane Transit Authority passengers on several routes Thursday, when an unknown woman boarded several buses, greeted passengers with "Merry Christmas" and handed each an envelope containing a card and a $50 bill before stepping off and repeating the same on another bus. According to the Spokesman-Review newspaper's Friday edition, bus driver Max Clemons said, "She kind of kept her head down. I don't remember ever seeing this lady before. "

A shopping center in Renfrewshire, Scotland was forced to advise Santa Claus to wear a helmet after being pelted with mince pies. It was reported that several youngsters threw the mince pies from the upper level of the Paisley Center in Renfrewshire as Santa was giving out presents to children visiting the shop.

A believer of Santa Claus has sponsored his version of the G8 summit for Father Christmas to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, ananova. com reports. Lev Levinson, organizer of Xmas G8 said eight different versions of Santa Claus from around the world will meet in Russia for the Christmas special.
